Victoria Choral Academy

Victoria Choral Academy offers choral music education, choral workshops, seminars, consulting services and publications of choral music scores. Founded in the year 2000, the academy has been providing excellent choral music training and education for various schools and colleges.

Victoria Choral Academy successfully organized the first International Choral Competition in December, 2003 at Genting Highlands, Malaysia which attracted over 2000 participants from many Asian countries singing to a panel of internationally acclaim judges. In 2004, the academy presented, Jubilate Festival of Choirs in Singapore. The festival saw more than 500 choristers performing over 3 nights of concerts and over 3000 participants attending workshops given by 3 esteem clinicians.

Mr Nelson Kwei

Mr Nelson Kwei is an accomplished conductor, music arranger and vocal tutor in the music scene, having attained a Licentiate in singing from the Guildhall School of Music. He was the first choral scholar from Singapore to do a advance post-graduate studies in Choral Conducting from the Royal Academy of Music in London and has won three international conductor awards.

Mr Kwei is currently the Chairman of the Choral Directors Association (Singapore) and member of the Choral Advisory Board of Singapore's National Arts Council and Ministry of Education.
